Thailand Mission Impact
Jeremiah and Katana are from Cheyenne, Wyoming. They have been married since 2014 and are called to serve in Roi Et, Thailand with their sending organization, TMS-Global. Once there, they will be teaching English in a Buddhist welfare school and doing student ministry outside of school hours.
They have committed to serving two years in Thailand under the help of missionaries already in country. The strategy for winning Thailand for the Kingdom of God is simply to make disciples who make disciples - to find out where God is already working and go work with Him. By pouring out our lives into the Thai people and developing genuine relationships with them, they, in turn, will do the same with their own people - Thus, creating an indigenous movement of the Gospel that will be authentically Thai and better received by them.
Every culture has been created and formed by God who loves the world and the cultures of the world. Our job is to go in and humbly sit at the feet of the Thai people and learn from them. To take on their culture as much as we can be learning their language, costumes, history, norms and virtues. Respecting the culture is a high priority and not pushing on them "American Christianity" but rather preaching and teaching the basic teachings of Christ and letting the Holy Spirit work in the hearts of the people.
