Wonderfully Weird Armor: Objective Truth

The bible does not start with the fall of humanity but with creation! I say this because it's a great place to understand an aspect of The Belt of Truth known as objective truth. Unfortunately, too many Christians begin their message about life with subjective truth instead of objective reality. Most sound like this, "I'm a sinner; you need to be saved. I'm no good. People are completely worthless, etc." Is this true? Yes, subjectively, but not objectively. Objectively it sounds like this, "I'm wonderfully weird; you are created in the image of God. You're good. People are the most valued creatures of God, etc." Beginning with subjective truth instead of objective truth is like walking backward or driving with a rearview mirror to get to an unknown destination. It doesn't make sense, and Life's message always begins with objective truth, up, not down.

It's the objective reality of God that set's all things right. In other words, it is the just, honest, and free from bias or prejudices truth that sets a person free and adjusts them for a very good life. Objective reality is restricted to God's destination of "Goodness" and nothing else. This truth allows the general revelation of God to be communicated to all persons at all times and in all places. It's God's self-manifestation through nature, history, and the created human being. The Bible speaks of this objective truth, "The heavens are telling the glory of God (Psalms 19:1). And the Apostle Paul says, "Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So, they are without excuse (Romans 1:20)."

The limitations of subjective thinking need to be given new birth to the objective truth that raises a person to an objective reality that breathes eternal life in the here and now. The objective truth of God's Goodness needs to penetrate a person's soul to change their perspective from a downward outlook to an upward one. When this truly happens in a person's life, it's called being "Born-Again (John 3:3)."

Objective truth is true for everyone, whether they agree with it or not. For instance, "God exists" whether the subjects of faith, people, agree with it or not. The objective truth comes from the Object of the Christian faith, God. This truth can be tricky because when people define what objective truth is in their subjective reality, they commit the same sin that Adam and Eve committed at the beginning of creation, envy. The hard truth is objectivity (God), does exist, and the job of the Christian is to demonstrate the truthfulness of what the Bible claims. Now, the Christian's job is problematic because, before talking about the subjective truth of the Bible to people, the Christian must often convince the listener that truth exists outside their reality and is understood through the universal existence or objective truth of God.
