Have you wondered how success happens? Yes, it comes from God. However, for those who genuinely want to succeed with God's power, a much deeper meaning is required if victory is a reality. A reality I call a Wonderfully Weird Life.
In the Holy Bible, Matthew 28:18-20, the Great Commission of Jesus is shared, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age (ESV). Here, we experience the final command of Jesus, "Make Disciples," the last one of nearly fifty we will journey through with this devotion series. And just as it was with Jesus' first disciples, it is to be with us today. If you are a Christian, understand the basis of discipleship is learning and then teachings Jesus' Way, Truth, and Life, which I call a Wonderfully Weird Life. There is no other way; if a Christian wants to develop a "Good" character based on God's Truth, The Wonderfully Weird Commands of Christ is how it happens.
Like learning the alphabet, Christians need to understand the faith basics to develop "Good" habits based on their newfound perspective, a biblical worldview. When Christ-followers thoroughly study the Gospels, they will discover the Wonderfully Weird Commands of Christ, 49 in the model I present, paralleling God the Father's promises offered in the Bible. These commands are to be understood and applied in life to form "good" character to carry out The Great Commission "unto the end of the age." To the ends of the world, just as the Commission of Jesus shares.
Understand, when The Wonderfully Weird Commands of Christ are correctly understood and applied, they will become like beacons of light in our lives to guide, coach, and advise us throughout life. For this to happen, followers must choose to commit, learn, and engage with Jesus' commands to succeed in life as his disciples. If a decision is otherwise, understand every inconsistency and disorder in life results from the neglect and disrespect of these commands. Therefore, this is why Jesus placed such a high priority on them, even to say in 1 John 5:3, For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. If you love God, then it's your responsibility to get the commands of Christ in your soul and live them out accordingly.
There are numerous ways to get the Commands into your makeup, and if you chose another model other than The Wonderfully Weird Way I propose, wonderful!
